These sarees were historically made from fine muslin but are now also created using cotton or silk, and are characterized by their delicate patterns, lightweight, and often sheer quality. The Jamdani technique involves a supplementary weft process where intricate motifs are added by hand to create designs that appear to float on the fabric's surface.
